Just as the great Aussie Movember has morphed into the worldwide ‘Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride Day’ for motorcycles and raised over US$5M to support Men’s Mental Health and Prostate Cancer,

This is a celebration of feminine drivers and riders of Electric & Hybrid Motor Cars & Motorcycles.

To demonstrate the past, the present & the future of transport, recreation & female influence.

This is for women who are well informed, make the big financial and environmental decisions for the household, have demonstrated this by the vehicle they drive, influence partners, friends and guide families and businesses. So came along and meet like-minded people. Connect.

The two local charities this inaugural event is focused on are:

The Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre (1 in 4 women will experience), and

Brain Tumor Alliance Australia (Di Dunne - Stage 4)

SO: Donate to either of the charities and just bring along your electronic receipt (No wastepaper, and maybe bring your coffee keep-cup or water bottle) to receive special offers, gifts and prize draws generously donated from many of the 200 Pakington St traders who have also provided a profile of their ‘environmental credentials’.

Over 50 of Geelong’s EV Car and Motorcycle dealerships/brands have been personally invited to donate and display a selection of their range with special EOFY offers written on the windows. The three Brands/Badges that donate the highest amount to the charities will be our Rose Gold, Stirling Silver & Polished Copper Sponsors (these are not just jewelry but elements in an EV).

Also, Donations to Registered Charities are tax deductible the following week, so a great way to legitimately manage your tax obligations, have an impact on a local charity and your choose where your annual Tax saving go i.e. IF your company was about to post a financial year net profit of $60,000, then 25% would go to the ATO as Company Tax i.e.$15,000. If you donate $15,000 to a registered charity, that could reduce your net taxable profit to $45,000 and your company tax would be $11,250. If you donate as a private taxpayer, you could save more because of higher marginal tax rates. Any wonder some Companies head out and buy the new EV ahead of the financial year end to get the depreciation benefits ahead of year end profits as well. (ask your own tax specialist for your circumstances).
